JAYJAY is pleased to announce the upcoming introductory exhibition Trending: New Talent from Northern California. The inspiration for this exhibit is the fine and prophetic work being produced in the graduate programs at several Northern California schools and JAYJAY’s desire to share their triumphs with the community at large. These artists are current and recent MFA and MA recipients of studio art programs from University of California, Davis, California State University, Sacramento, Mills College, University of Nevada, Reno, and California State University, Chico, producing work in various mediums including sculpture, painting, photography, and printmaking. This exhibition promises to offer a glimpse into future “trends” through the scholarly exploration of these emerging artists.
The eight artists included are Angela Willetts: University of California, Davis, James Angello: University of California, Davis, Ka Yi Leung: California State University, Sacramento, Rachelle Reichert: Mills College, Quynh Tran: University of Nevada, Reno, Bahareh Shahrabi Farahani: University of Nevada, Reno, Jennifer Tancreto: California State University, Chico, and Jon McCallum: California State University, Chico.
